Born not from want, neither need but necessity.
To combat a problem that every parent, at some point through parenthood is presented with at gift giving times. Foolishly expecting manufacturers to provide, what you consider, as an obvious integral part of a product design specifically to do one job . . . . . FAIL! Let's go back to a previous Christmas. The boy opens up all his gifts, delighted in receiving his driving seat, pedals & attachable gear shifter. At this point, as a parent can relate, to the child these are now the only things in the room & must be built immediately! |
We built as instructions detailed only to discover a major problem.
No possible way of attaching the shiny brand new gear shifter to the amazing looking new driving seat. In the boys eyes Christmas was now over! We joke of course, paddles saved the headaches, pacified & distracted until the seat manufacturer was again open for business. On contacting them, it was to my utter surprise they offered no way of attaching said accessory. |

Left with very little, well nothing, I decided to search the world wide web for such an item.
Amazed I found one, well a metal like inadequate u-shaped rod that attached crudely under the steering wheel, on to the steering wheel plate. It could be fitted either side of the wheel, extending out over the edge of the plate by about 4 inches. To where you then tried clamping on the gear shifter. Well, in my opinion this was not 'Realistic' neither practical. Unrealistic & priced at an unacceptable £34.99. |
So we accepted the fact we were back to square one. With one purchased gear shifter that could neither be attached or used. Unless attached to a table or other unsuitable application.
Defeated I was not, hounded yes I was. Now a little thing about me, I have an insatiable appetite for information, need to know how to do, make & create things. I am a creative, an inventor, this has been a life long sentence. I'm passionate for product design, development & manufacturing. Logical efficient problem solving & inventing new ideas. Inspired by many of the greats. |
Basically a polymath with a well equipped workshop that knows a few beneficial things that will not stop until a project is completed, despite injury, loss or cost
Now by all accounts to the boy 13, it looked 'Fresh' & worked 'Super fly'.
I assumed this meant it passed the ultimate test 'The Child Test'! My greatest accolade to date!
This was reconfirmed by all his 'Gaming' mates & Go Karting fraternity.
It would appear only NOW I have some form of status!

We successfully completed the formidable PHASE 1 stage by December 2019
Moving directly on, as planned to PHASE 2 - The Stand Alone Mod Mount System Range
In April 2020 the plan is to introduce the last but one in our PHASES
That never went to plan, a worldwide major event happened "100 year system reset"
But disguised as something else, so this was slightly delayed.
